Then Youth Alliance is right for you! 

Founded in 1995, we began as a grassroots effort of committed volunteers that has evolved into a place of love, cultural pride, and community healing.

In order to develop strong youth leaders, we must build safe and supportive schools, neighborhoods, and communities. Furthermore, we need innovative support networks that guide youth to expand their understanding of themselves, others, and their goals for the future.

INTERNSHIPS & PAID FELLOWSHIPS

YA internships are an exciting way to immerse yourself and directly impact the many youth and families we serve. Our internships range from Bachelors, Masters and Clinical levels. You will learn first-hand what it takes to be an integral part of a dynamic team and a catalyst of change in our community. Our internships appeal to individuals of diverse interests and talents and all include youth program involvement and professional development opportunities. Giving Back Helps Others, Helps the Community & Helps Yourself

We want to connect with passionate & talented individuals! Your skills, support, and generosity are needed to provide our youth with pathways to success.

 

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer please complete the form below.

Youth Mentor Volunteers (ages 15+) guide students through hands-on learning activities, are valued members of the site team, and build important relationships with the students as a role model. As part of the youth leadership development at YA, high school students are able to volunteer as mentors in many of our youth programs.

Youth have the potential to gain: 

  • Community service hours

  • Training and experience

  • Mentor t-shirt and program swag

  • Monthly bus pass

  • Letter of recommendation
