Position Overview:

The Parent Partner works directly with parents and caregivers to support parenting skills education in a workshop and community setting. The Parent Partner provides a parent perspective in a variety of settings. Uses personal and professional life experiences to establish credibility to encourage practice and follow through of learned skills. Provides a parent’s perspective to increase awareness and improve the effectiveness of the parent education experience. Participates in program, internal and community meetings to maximize program success. Represents agency values and works with the Youth Alliance vision to empower youth and families through education, supports and guidance.

Parent Organizer Fellowship (POF)

Position Overview:

The Parent Organizer Fellow is an entry-level position focused on grassroots work in the San Benito County or South Santa Clara County region. Under the supervision of the lead Organizer staff and in cooperation with the Youth Alliance Equity Team, the Parent Organizer Fellow will work directly with parents and caregivers to support education and grassroots organizing for San Benito County. This position requires knowledge or desire to learn leadership development, organizing, and advocacy for parents with a focus on base building. The fellow will participate in local and regional campaigns that address policies that will dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline while transforming the school climate with Restorative Justice rooted in healing and equity.

After School Program Leader

Youth Alliance is hiring After School Program Leaders to join our growing team! Become part of a high-performing and diverse team that is deeply committed to social change and the success of the youth and families we serve!

Career Overview:

The Program Leader provides direct leadership in conducting a culturally responsive academic enrichment program to assist children in language arts, math enrichment, social development, community building, and homework tutoring at Youth Alliance’s award winning After School Program. The Program Leader encourages student success and self-esteem using materials and curriculum provided by the program such as sports and games, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math), visual and performing arts, and community building circles.
