The Youth Organizer will support the development of programs, events, and campaigns to bring awareness to changes in the education system while, simultaneously, helping youth realize their desired school community. The Youth Organizer will work with young leaders in order to educate, advocate, and mobilize the community towards creating school changes that reflect their needs and interests. The Youth Organizer will work to co-create virtual and in-person spaces after school, evenings, and weekends with youth to foster leadership and organizing skills to understand and challenge systems of oppression. Using innovation and creativity such as art, dance, writing, and photography, the Youth Organizer will challenge systems of oppression, conduct organizing, build awareness, and cultivate individual and collective healing in communities.
