Deputy Director of Programs

Career Overview:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Deputy Director of Programs (DDP) has strategic and operational responsibility for all YA programs. The position will be a part of the senior management team that drives the organization’s overall program impact and strategy. The DDP will be ultimately responsible for working ensuring high-quality programs that help Youth Alliance accomplish its mission and vision. This key role provides leadership, guidance, and innovation to ensure excellence and continuous improvement of organizational programs and project management. The DDP regularly reviews programs with a commitment to community led priorities and develops new strategies or programs as needs emerge. The DDP is adept at providing strengths based prevention, counseling, and intervention services for underserved youth at-promise with a solid commitment to social justice and systems and policy change that address the needs of the BIPOC community. The DDP is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the program aspects of the annual budget in conjunction with senior management. The DDP is responsible for ensuring that Youth Alliance’s services are in alignment to YA’s theory of change and in compliance with all federal, state, funding, and city regulations, certifications, and licensing requirements. This key position will serve as an ambassador, spokesperson, and high-profile organizational leader before a range of stakeholder audiences, coalitions, and in the media.
